Message from Local Host Committee Chairman
The Malaysian Association for the Blind, your host for ICEVI 2006, is honored to be given this opportunity to host the 12th world conference and General Assembly at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

I would like to welcome you to our city. The ICEVI 2006 is not only a meeting to update our knowledge in the field of education and rehabilitation for the blind and visually impaired but an opportunity to explore and absorb the unique varieties of food, entertainment, shopping and cultures to be found in Malaysia.

Visiting Kuala Lumpur alone doesn’t mean you have been to Malaysia. Do take the chance to visit other interesting attractive around the country. Our rain forests, beaches and islands are world class. And you should not miss the opportunity to see them for yourselves.

My fellow members of the Organizing Committee and our PCO will be happy to help and assist you with any of your plans. Our aim is to ensure your stay in Malaysia is a memorable one.
