Here are six announcements.
Announcement 1: ICT Course
Sign up now for a 5-day training on using Windows operating system and Microsoft Word with JAWS, scheduled to take place at the MAB ICT department from Monday to Friday, 8 – 12 September 2008. Announcement 2: AGM of Tandem Club
This will be on Saturday, 13th September at 5.00 pm at the MAB Hall. For further information, please contact En. Fairuz at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 136.
Announcement 3: Marriage Counseling Workshop
This will be on Saturday and Sunday, 1st and 2nd November at the MAB Hall. Married and unmarried blind couples and their children who are about to get married are cordially invited to attend. It is free of charge. Topics will include expectations in marriage, solving conflicts, financial planning, sexual intimacy, and spiritual development according to respective religions. Announcement 4: English Course for the Blind
The MAB, Job Placement Unit is planning to organise English courses for blind workers and for the non English speaking blind. They would like to know how many are interested to learn at these two levels. Please contact Ms. Jacqueline at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 175.
Announcement 5: Malaysian Open Goalball Championship and Asean Invitation 2008
This will be organised by MAB from 20 – 23 November at the Pusat Latihan dan Pemulihan Perindustrian, Bangi (PLPP) for men and ladies. The fee is RM600.00 per team. First prize for men is RM2,500.00 and first prize for ladies is RM1,000.00. Please contact En. Fairuz at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 136.
Announcement 6: Braille Magazine and BM Books
The library has received new braille magazines – National Geographic and Spectrum, August edition. Here are 7 new titles in BM. To borrow, please contact Pn. Zuraidah at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 150. The titles are:-
