Hello friends.
Here are six new announcements and one old announcement.
Announcement 1: New Librarian
The new librarian for MAB Library & Resource Centre is Cik Maswirda binti Morad. She joins on 1st November, 2008. We would like to bid her a warm welcome to MAB.
Announcement 2: Job Expo For The Disabled
This will be on Wednesday, 3rd December at PLPP Bangi organised by JKM Wilayah Persekutuan. About 20 employers will be taking part in the program. Transport and refreshment will be provided. Blind persons who are looking for employment must be dress formally and bring along your certificates and resume for the interview. Please register with En. Herwan and Ms. Amy from MAB, Job Placement Unit at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 173 or 175 respectively by Wednesday, 19th November.
Announcement 3: Second Session On Public Speaking
As we did not receive any response to re-confirm participation or for new participants, it has been decided to postpone the second session of public speaking to the second Saturday of January 2009 which is, 10th January from 2.00 – 4.00 pm.
Announcement 4: Elderly Blind Club Gathering
This will be on Saturday, 6th December at 11.00 am at the MAB Hall. This will be preceded by lotto at the cafetaria from 9.00 am under the charge of En. Taslim. The fee is RM4.00 for members and RM5.00 for non-members. Please register with Ms. Rani at tel. 03 2272 2677 extension 154 or 016 685 4837.
Announcement 5: Indoor Game Competitions Organised By The Elderly Blind Club
This will be on Saturday, 13th December at the MAB cafetaria from 10.00 am – 12.00 noon followed by lunch. Games and prizes are as follows:
- Dominoes and Congkak – RM30.00, RM25.00 and RM20.00
- Draughts and Othello – RM50.00, RM40.00 and RM30.00
- Scrabble and Chess – RM80.00, RM60.00 and RM40.00

Announcement 6: KRSCAP Karaoke Traditional Song Competition and Dinner 2008
This will be on Saturday, 20th December starting at 8.00 pm at MAB cafetaria. The fee is RM10.00 for members (including their children of 18 years and below) and RM20.00 for non-members. Additional fee of RM5.00 will be for members only who want to take part for the competition. Closing date is 14th December. For further information, please contact Pn. Noor Hazira or En. Announcement 7: National Open Lawn Bowl Championship 2008 For The Blind
This will be from 13 – 14 December at Bukit Kiara Greens. There will be singles for men and women and also mix doubles under the B1, B2 and B3 categories. The fee is RM20.00 per participant. Forms are available at the MAB reception counter or can be request from the Jabatan Belia & Sukan Negeri. Closing date is 28th November. For more details, please contact En.
